Ride & Route Information

This year's route is approximately 62 miles and takes us northeast of Madison to feature three farms and farm businesses. This year's route combines our priorities of safety, aesthetics, education, and newness!  We bet many of you bikers out there rarely go Northeast of Madison.  It's lovely - you'll see!  There are a few hills, but will certainly be a pleasant shift from last year's beast.  We will be providing support riders and vehicles along the route, but will not be providing a shuttle service from lunch or the other stops unless there is an emergency. Please make sure you are prepared physically (ride at least a couple of 30-mile rides before September 11th) and mechanically (bring an extra tube, air canister, and have your bike tuned up before the ride).

What to bring:

  • Bike helmet - A must!
  • Sunscreen
  • Two water bottles
  • Any extra food or energy bars you may want
  • Extra tire tube & air canister
  • Zip lock bag to put your route map in - to keep it dry

As usual, there will be farm stops with snacks and beverages.  We will have water available at all the stops. Please take careful note of the times that the stops will be ready to serve riders. If you ride super fast, do not be disappointed if the food is not ready before the scheduled time.

The ride begins and ends at Token Creek Park, a few minutes northeast of Madison in Deforest, Wisconsin. Parking will be available, but if you want a few extra miles you can certainly bike out to the Park. Feel free to invite your family and friends to join you at the After Party from 4-7pm at Token Creek. After Party only tickets are $30 and include beverages and snacks.

Route Map

A pdf of the route map will be posted to this site at least a week before the event. We will have have printed maps available at registration. We are in the process of confirming the specific route with local and county officials, so we will wait until the route is completely confirmed before posting.

Please remember to bring a ziplock bag to put your map into, so it does not get sweaty and wash away the ink.
